The 6th Annual Digital Video and Multimedia Fair is scheduled to be held at the Science Center on: Wednesday, June 2, 1999 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Fair is organized by the Imaging and Visualization Working Group of the ABCD Committee with volunteer members across the University. The Provost's office provides a grant to fund the event. The participation in the Fair is restricted to the Harvard community. The theme topic for this year's Fair is "Digital Sound". The Fair will be divided into three segments: 1. Booths, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Science Center corridors 2. Presentations, 1 PM to 3 PM, Science Center Hall C 3. Panel discussion, 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM, Science Center Hall C Internet connections and projection facilities will be available for the booth demonstrations and the presentations. The Digital Video and Multimedia Fair has been a showcase to present latest efforts in the University in the use of technology for knowledge dissemination and classroom instruction. All works in digital media are invited for inclusion. We solicit participation from faculty, students and staff in all Schools and Departments across the University. The panel discussion will be geared towards educational use of multimedia and Paul Bergen (bergen@fas.harvard.edu) may be contacted to discuss ideas. The registration for the fair will open May 15 through the web page.
