The 5th Annual Digital Video and Multimedia Fair
at Harvard University
is scheduled to be held in Taubman Center at Kennedy
School of Government
on Thursday, May 7, 1998 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
The Fair is
sponsored by the Imaging and Visualization Working
Group of the
ABCD Committee with assistance from the Provost's
Office and Kennedy
School of Government. The Fair events will be followed
by a Workshop
from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM hosted by the Multimedia
Infrastructure Project
in the University.
Like the previous years, the Fair will have two segments:
booths and
presentations. The keynote topic for the year is
"Digital Libraries
on the Internet". Dr. John B. Howard, Librarian
at Music Library
at Harvard, will be the keynote speaker.
We invite all interested members of the Harvard community
to participate
in the event. Sixteen network-accessible demonstration
booths are
planned along with eight fifteen minute presentations.

Registration for
the Fair will open on April 17 at which time the
complete program
will be posted.
